Adѐle discovered her passion for performance at a very young age after joining the ‘San Toy School of Dancing’ in Thundersley, Essex and progressed to become a student teacher at the Prime Headford School of Dancing, in Essex. As a young adult, Adèle travelled the world for three years, during which time she took international lessons in traditional and folk dancing.

It was this fascination, combined with an innate musicality and artistry evident in her choreography, that culminated in Adèle recognizing her vocation for teaching. Adèle relocated to Sussex in 1991 and founded the Adèle Academy of Dance and Drama. She has inspired numerous students to pursue a theatrical career, and pupils past and present have won leading roles in West End productions including Annie, Chicago Tap Dogs, Matilda, Billy Elliot, Oliver, Prince of Egypt and Everybody’s Talking about Jamie to name but a few. Many others enjoy exciting careers touring the world on prestigious cruise ships, whilst others manage their own dance or exercise studios as far reaching as Bali and New York.

Adèle graduated from the University of Middlesex in 2018 with a Pedagogy in Modern Dance, a unique qualification specializing in the Art and Science of teaching. This in – depth knowledge, combined with an abundance of teaching experience ensures Adèle can inspire the next generation of dancers and truly enrich their dancing ed ucation.
