Charlotte Summer

Charlotte trained at Glendale Theatre Arts and Masters Performing Arts College, gaining ISTD teaching qualifications in Modern and Tap. Additionally, she studied privately with internationally renowned teacher, Miss Elizabeth Hodgson, to achieve her qualification in Classical Ballet. She has since achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Theatre Arts and a PGCE and is Subject Lead for Dance at Northbrook MET, specialising in the conception and creation of full-length narrative dance pieces.

She worked professionally in a variety of hotels and cabaret venues in the UK, Portugal and Japan, predominantly as dance captain and assistant choreographer. Charlotte can create exceptional quality work in all genres. Her diversity is demonstrated through World Cup and All England medals in Tap, Character and National as well as producing several pure classical ballet pieces performed at both National and World level.

However, throughout her teaching, she consistently values student’s personal achievements over any awards or medals, often talking of her proudest moments having very little to do with winning items but more to do with the progress individual students made. Charlotte is passionate about education, both her students and her own. She is committed to constantly updating teaching techniques, creating a positive mindset and addressing the challenges to mental health in young performers.
