As a child, Marnie attended full time Stage School, and at 16, went on to study on the three – year Musical Theatre course at Laine Theatre Arts having been awarded a full Performing Arts scholarship. She left college with a diploma in both Dance and Musical Theatre, as well as completing her teaching associates with distinction. Marnie began performing professionally from the age of 8 years old, having performed in numerous professional stage and TV productions, adverts, music videos and as a model. She has been lucky enough to work with some incredible professional performers over the years. Marnie then went on to study for her higher-level teaching examinations and now holds her Licentiate in both Modern and Tap and is a qualified PBT ballet teacher and fitness instructor. She also taught GCSE, A level and B tech dance for many years.

Marnie became the principal of A2 Arts Performing Arts Academy in 2009 having taught for over 15 years at numerous private and theatre schools, including over 20 years on the Theatre Arts faculty at the very prestigious Roedean independent school.A2 is now a large school and close family. During her time, as principal A2 Arts have received Brighton & Hove County Council’s ‘Team of the Year’ award, been bronze silver and gold medalists at Dance World Cup and All England Dance Competition regional and national finals. Students have also performed at the Mayors Charity Variety Gala, the opening for The Olympic Torch Ceremony and the Rugby World Cup, as well as being selected to dance at The Royal Albert Hall during five consecutive years of Dance Proms. Marnie’s former students have performed all over the world, in productions such as Matilda, Billy Elliot, Thriller Live, Oliver, Prince of Egypt, On Your Feet, The Lion King, Aladdin, as well as dancing alongside The Royal Ballet at The Royal Opera House.
